An Outrage: Admitted Killer of Casino Shift Manager, Says “I Took it Out on Him Because All Casinos are Crooked.”

This is a long story, so bear with me.

It’s about a cold-blooded killer named Mark Magee, who killed a shift manager at the Taj Mahal casino (Atlantic City) in 2009.

Why? Because he figured all casinos in Atlantic City cheat.

Magee, 58, is from Norristown, near where I used to live.

In court, he said,  “I believe the tables are electronically controlled. I base that on 25 years of experience. That is my belief. I stand by that belief. I welcome an examination.”

It was for that reason he decided someone had to pay for his paranoia, and so he walked into the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort carrying a .38-caliber revolver in his pocket and waited hours before the dealer walked from the busy casino floor to the relative quiet of the card and dice room, before putting his warped plan into effect.

“I followed him all day, stalking him. I was going to kill him.” Magee explained in a matter of fact manner. ” I asked the security guard to move. I just walked in and shot him three times. I take full responsibility. I didn’t want to hurt anybody else.”

Mark Magee pleaded guilty to the atrocious crime and after sentencing is passed on Aug. 12th, is expected to serve a prison sentence of at least 30 years.

In over 32-year of legalized gambling in Atlantic City, this incident marks the only known murder inside one of its casinos.

The CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts, Mark Juliano, said: “His explanation is, of course, ludicrous.”

A sad story. Our sympathies go out to the dealer’s family.
