online casino

Online casino giant Ladbrokes is no stranger to controversy. In fact, the very fact that they specialize in online gambling is enough to create controversy in itself. We all know how certain sectors and individuals can react to this industry. From policies to promotions to mere advertisements, entities like Ladbrokes have had to endure living under the microscope, so to speak.
Recently, Ladbrokes released a new TV ad, which probably brought about a lot of trepidation on the part of the people involved in the creation and release of the ad. And it really is not just because they are an online casino promoting their services. As a matter of fact, if you remember, there have been two other Ladbrokes ad that caught the eye of advertising watchdogs. One featured a character who kept on taking risks, in increasing intensity and eventually causing harm to himself. Another featured a skydiver who wanted to experience a more intense thrill so he kept using a smaller and smaller parachute.
These two ads were flagged by advertisement watchdogs with the reason that they promoted risky and reckless behavior. Now, with the new ad, we are watching and waiting to see what the authorities would do.
Personally, I think that the new ad looks fine. It is dubbed Hide and Seek and features a giant lemur. The idea is that people do not need to play the game with a giant lemur to have a thrilling experience – all they need is to go online at Ladbrokes. It is very much toned down that I don’t see it becoming controversial. What do you think?
