There is no doubt about it – there is something going on between James Bond and casinos. In many of the Bond movies, no matter who the current James Bond is, there are scenes of the British spy playing at a casino. This fact has given additional support to those who love to gamble. What has happened is that average people who want to emulate the life and style of James Bond tend to frequent casinos more and even spend more.
At least, this is what analysts have declared, especially since the latest installment in the Bond series was released recently. Brian Chan wrote something about this over at Online Casino Sphere:
Casino executives assert movies in the Bond series tend to cause a surge in casino attendance and amounts gambled, as viewers want to emulate the sophisticated style of James Bond. Many Bond movies feature the spy outwitting opponents at various forms of gambling.
So what have the casinos done in order to make the most out of this Bond mania?
Chan further wrote:
Some casinos, such as the Riverboat Casino in Glasgow, feature Bond-themed promotions and events to celebrate the movie’s release. The staff will dress either in tuxedos, or as one of the many Bond girls.
Other casino executives say they expect packed crowds at the roulette and poker tables, as people are drawn to live the fantasy of being James Bond.
I totally understand why the casinos would use Bond themes. Perhaps online casinos will soon do the same. Even without the link between Bond and gambling, the style itself is enough to add excitement to a regular night at the casino, don’t you think?
