Colorado’s Casinos To Have More Freedom?

Colorado residents who love to frequent casinos – and people from the surrounding areas – would love to hear this piece of news. Apparently, an amendment to the law regarding gambling in casinos is set to be voted on in November of this year. And what is this proposal all about?

There are three basic adjustments to be made – increase the limits on the bets, lengthen the casino operating hours, and offer a couple more of new games. Now I bet that you are just trying to contain your excitement right now!

So what about the increase in bet limits? Currently, the casinos in Cripple Creek, Black Hawk, and Central City are accepting only $5 for the maximum bet. With this new proposal, they will all be allowed to accept 4100 for the maximum bet!

Regarding the casino operating hours, currently they close at 2 a.m. Now I know how it feels to have to go home at 2 a.m. on the weekend when you were all set to gamble all night. There is no other word for it – it sucks! If the new proposal gets approved, however, casino goers can play all they want – literally. The proposal is aiming for the casinos to keep their doors open for 24 hours. Yes, you read that right. 24 hours. A whole day. Non-stop casinos.

Last, aside from the current offerings of the casinos in Denver, they will have the chance to offer more games if the new proposal pushes through. If you love roulette and craps, you certainly will be happy.

If you are from Colorado, make sure to vote in November. After the statewide vote, the residents of Gilpin and Teller counties will have a vote of their own.
